Organization Introduction:
Star Waste Management & Services is registered as
Implementation Agency in Proprietorship Act Registration No. C/1311084 Star
engaged in Urban Solid Waste Management through awareness (IEC), Training and
capacity building.

Developing
sub-sector / vector intervention implementation, process for Waste Management
through pilot intervention.
·
Providing technical assistance and support
services to ULBS involved in promotion of awareness and community participation
in waste management.
·
Working on
ODF sustainability and sanitation.
·
It is a community
driven waste management initiative aimed at Reducing. Segregating, Reusing and
Recycling of waste. Minimise waste that needs to be disposed in centralised
landfills, thus extending existing landfill capacity: Reduce the environmental
impact of disposal sites as the bio-degradable waste fraction largely is to
blame for the polluting leach ate and the methane problems.

Benefit
the soil by using organic compost instead of chemical fertilisers.
·
Providing
technical assistance to Urban local bodies for solid waste management
activities.
